It's been two months into JC life and i'm still trying to get used to it. I swear it's so damn tiring. People often conclude that JC's the toughest education sector in one's life and now I'm finally beginning to realise and at the same time agree with that statement. The curriculum hours are so much longer and it's unusual to reach home at around 4 plus nowadays. Take PE for an example. Back in secondary school, PE was the subject which everybody looked forward to! However, things turned out differently. People in JC find all sorts of ways just to skip PE! It's evolved from a fun-and-games process into a pre-NS training boot camp. Man, it makes me miss secondary school even more. Let's just hope for the best.

Before heading into the next phase of my life, i've decided to look back at what has been one of the most memorable school holiday i will ever have. This past ten weeks had not just been the longest vacation i ever had, but also the most "happening" one. Okay so let's recap.

On 12th November, we officially finished our O levels examinations! WOOHOO. The day all of us had been waiting for! Hahaha. The only thing i can recall is that i jumped for joy and ate like a mad cow on that day. That carefree feeling. Wahhhhh.

And who could ever give prom a miss? Everybody looked stunning on that day. Great company, definitely a night to remember!

And then there was this 3D2N chalet with my classmates! Initially i was really reluctant to go! But guess what, i never did regret! This bunch of people have been the most awesome peeps i will ever get to know. Hope to keep in touch with everyone of you all!

Then of course, here and there, there were many outings with different people. One outing i distinctly remember is the one where we celebrated Ben and my birthday! I really appreciate all of their efforts in making the cards, preparing the food and planning such a wonderful outing! Meet up soon guys!

And who could ever forget 1/4, 2/4. Thanks to Fazzi, we managed to fork out some time to have a mini gathering with your secondary one and two classmates! You guys have been awesome!

"WORK FOR WHAT?!" would be my usual reply to friends who asked me whether i would be working or not during the holidays. However, i take back my words and am proud to say that i've never regret working this holiday. Besides the fact that i was quite cash stripped, the experience i gained at work was fantastic. Firstly, at Singapore Discovery Centre, where Mark introduced me the job. It was very enjoyable as i got to interact with many kids and learnt what it was like in the working world out there. Secondly, at Marina Bay Sands, alongside Boon, Eechang and Pinzheng. It was a whole new experience because over at MBS, it was all down to major hardwork. Nonetheless, it was a valuable experience as we learnt to be more cautious of how we spend our money because money's not that easy to earn ya know!

Most importantly, during this holiday, i got to grow closer to everybody around me.
You all have a special place in my heart!

I'm glad this week is finally coming to an end. This week has definitely gotta be the toughest week in my entire life yet. Not physically, but mentally, emotionally. Upon receiving results, we were given up to five days to decide where to go to further our studies. What a dilemma!

Every single day this week, i worried about factors like distance, subject combination, people, so and so. Different people's opinions and suggestions didn't help one bit because it just got me even more confused.

But i'm glad i finally came to a final decision of applying for Pioneer Junior College. Yes yes, people might say, the school's retain rate is unbelievably sky high etc, but i see it as a motivation to work hard! It's like going through another sec 3 and 4 when you prepare for Os! Cannot slack!

As for subject combination, PJC has quite the ideal one for me. I'm an Arts student by nature, so i decided to take up H2 Econs, Geog and China Studies in English. H1 maths is compulsory! But thank God, i've got a rough idea what H1 maths is already.

Nonetheless, in everything we do, strive for excellence!

Today marks the end of one of the most memorable chapters in my life. I had butterflies in my stomach since three nights ago. In my mind, i feared this and that, thinking of all the possible outcomes. It was really not a very nice experience.

But finally, i think the efforts did not go down the drain. I managed to attain an A1 for both Geography and Mother Tongue. A2 for Emaths and Hist/SS and a B3 for both English and Science(chem/bio). That heavy burden was finally lifted. Thank you peeps out there who've helped me one way or another. The teachers too, who never gave up on us. Especially my maths teacher, Mr Tan.

Getting this result wasn't easy. I had a huge gamble to take. And that was to shift my focus to emaths, rather than both e and amaths. I was eventually convinced by Mr Tan and the results shows everything.

Now that you received the results already, i realise more problems start to appear. What to do! Tackle one by one! Hahaha. Praise the Lord!

Alright, time for the "last day of the year" post. Incredibly, 2010 has come and go so quickly that you don't even realise that it's actually 31st December already. 2010, what a year it has been, besides taking our major examinations, it's the little things that occur every now and then that has taught me to become a stronger person in life. I sincerely apologise to anyone out there whom i've offended one way or another, and also thank and appreciate the people whom have helped make my 2010 count. You guys are the best.

As promised, i'll update about what happened on sunday! What a beautiful day it was! The weather could not have been any better too! Really thank the girls, as well as, Nicol, for waking up early in the morning just to prepare some finger food for all of us. The food was good, especially when you have good company to go with it! We did loads of crazy stuff @ Henderson Waves, following a nice, long, cozy 188 bus ride home.

Also, thanks everybody for the big big boards you guys made for Ben and I. I read through every single one of it, and realised that we went through so much things together, and all these has only made us closer to where we are today. You guys really make me feel blessed whether if it's my birthday or not. Thank you all!

Anyway, i'm left with tomorrow and i'm off for the rest of the week! Past two working days have been really tiring, but yet, the satisfaction of making your own money will never change. Just gotta press on each day! Update soon then! (:

Started working today! Everything went well. My colleagues were very friendly and approachable, which makes everything more simpler for newcomers like Sarah and myself. In addition, our target groups are actually the younger children, people that i have passion for! It felt really good to be able to put a smile on their faces.

During work, we started picking up new skills, such as making simple decorative items out of just plain balloons! Never thought balloon sculptures could be so interesting! Hahaha. Okie, i better rest earlier today, till i post again!

Back with some pictures from class chalet. I must say it's a good 3D2N spent with the rest of the class though it's kinda sad alot of people couldn't join us! Hopefully we can meet up soon! Anyway, during the 3D2N, we BBQ-ed, watched soccer at 4 in the morning, tried out everything there is left at Escape Theme Park and last but not least, spend every minute together. Thanks for everything guys!

And oh, i'm starting work on monday, together with Mark and Sarah at the Singapore Discovery Centre. I'm extremely fortunate and grateful towards Mark for calling me up for this job. Previously i was kinda disappointed by the interview earlier on with BoonShing and Weisheng. At the interview, everything went rather well, until they mentioned that we must be at least 16. Don't be mistaken, I AM SIXTEEN. Just that, my birthday's yet to be pass man! Oh well, thank God for the other job. Hahaha.

I really needa get a job man. So far i have only one interview on friday, along with Boonshing and Weisheng. Hopefully i can really get that post! I feel guilty when i see everybody else around me working their heads off, getting their very own pay, and not living off their parents' money.

And as if i weren't anymore guilty, there's class chalet for the next few days. Yikes. I must cross fingers and make sure that i don't spend money unnecessarily man.

Prom night's over! It was overall very enjoyable. The only thing that disappointed all of us was the food, which we paid a total of $70 for it. Besides that, everything else was fine! The next time we actually see each other like that would be getting back our results already! Whoa.

Today, like what Maya mentioned, I went through alot of "first time". Recently, the KOI thing has really been trending and since we had all the time in the world, we decided to queue up for it, regardless how long the queue is.
And whoa, it's so long..

Anyway, i got myself Hazelnut Milktea! It's not bad lah, but also not too fantastic either. I'm not too sure if it's really worth all the time wasted just to queue up. We queued for at least 45 mins! And the infinite number of pearls make the whole thing abit sick after some time..

And well of course, the highlight of the day was to experience the Singapore Flyer. To be honest, it was only the first time i actually went onto it despite the fact i keep telling myself a million times that i'm gonna try it out soon. Hahaha. Thanks to CharmaineBay and her macdonalds "1 for 1" offer, we got the tickets at half price. Thank you for eating so much junk food!

And so it wasn't so bad. Thankfully it only started to drizzle after we finished one entire round! After which, we just roamed around the area and took a few shots. Took a long freezing cold bus ride and then trained home. Wonderful day, yet a bigger hole right now in my pocket. Haizxzxz.

Thank God It's Friday. Tons of assignments for this weekends! I pray God give me ample strength to finish up most of them and give me more time to revise for my subjects! Anyway, i really wanna give praise to God for what happened on wednesday!

Two days ago was the release of our Mother Tongue O levels results! Man, was so anxious the moment i woke up from bed! Throughout the entire morning, i prayed to God for at least a B. To my amazement, my chinese teacher looked at me, and thanked me! She thanked me for helping her attain an A1! At this point of time, i wanna take this chance to thank her because i felt she really tolerated alot of my nonsense for the past 2 years.. So yeah..

So i went to check out the results, and saw only a "Merit" grade for my oral! In other words, i did fairly well for my written papers, which i thought i smoked my way through the entire thing!
This really showed me how much God can work in our results, and we shouldn't just limit our expectations and believe that God can really bless us!

And for the rest of the peeps who're retaking, not to worry! You seldom come across people getting lower when they retake their MT. So yeah, it's possible! Let's all work hard! But for now, time to hit the sack! Night!

While watching Manutd's game this morning, the commentator claimed that the last time Rooney had scored was back in March. I thought that it was impossible, it felt as though the last time he scored was only last month! It was really true, however, that it was 5 months ago since he last scored! It's not the soccer part, but the time factor which actually scares me.

What would i be doing 5 months from now? O levels would definitely have been over, and i should be getting my results already! So fast. And O levels is in ten weeks' time! Ten weeks ago, i remembered that the June Holidays just started! Do you remember?

Nevertheless, make use of these last ten weeks everyone! Don't regret!

It's gonna be a long weekend! Gotta make full use of it, and not letting it go into waste! Although as tempting as it is, to even slack since prelims are over, but looking at the big picture, O levels is just about 80 plus days away!

Prelims has been quite okay. I think i managed to do my geog and hist/ss paper quite well. Needa work harder on science and maths. On a lighter note, despite all my carelessness in my emaths paper, i still managed to get a pass! Thank you God!

Okay, so yesterday was the "Journey of the Flame" opening ceremony. You can catch glimpse of it on channel newsasia i think. It was good man, seeing how hard they worked for the past few weeks, sacrificing their sundays, etc. YI is a history maker!

Careless

It used to be don't know how to do alot of questions, but now the problem doesn't seem to be not knowing how to do the question, but rather avoiding careless mistakes that will cause you oh so dearly..

I had a good feeling about today's paper! I felt that the practice i put in for the past few weeks are really starting to pay off! If i can't get an A, well at least a B would be good! But after the paper, that was when everything just came crashing down..

Started to discuss with peeps on their answers, and i realised that i misinterpreted alot of questions.. From not giving answers to nearest dollar, to reading probability questions wrongly, to not drawing universal set for the venn diagram. When all these careless mistakes start piling up, it starts to get so depressing.

Don't know how to do is a problem, now that you know how to do, is entirely another problem already. Only have myself to blame. I pray to God for a clear and alert mind for the rest of my papers!

Haven't been updating! But still, just wanna say thanks to everybody who visits this site faithfully, as well as your tags here and there. Prelims are in two weeks' time! Have been revising my books religiously, and I found out that I'm still left with so much stuff to cover!

Anyway, put all the studying aside, the World Cup Final's in another 12 hours' time! I'm excited. I remember the last time i watched it, which is 4 years ago, when i'm still 12! Looking towards the future, i would be 20 by the next World Cup! Anyway, i'm going for Spain tonight!

Re-exams are over! And so are the holidays. I wanna take this chance to thank God, for helping me remember all the solutions, essays, answers to the re-exams. I see that the re-exams really helped me focus alot more, and it's sort of a revision too. Questions i previously get lost at during midyears, i now can cope with it better, understanding the concepts at the same time. Thank God!

I've been bringing my younger sis to church. Yesterday was kind of her second time there. The girls shared to her more about this God we believe in, and even taught her how to pray. Knowing that my dad hasn't been feeling so well for the past week, she came home, and immediately layed her hands on my dad and prayed for him. Though she didn't utter out the words loudly for him to hear, she prayed silently to herself, believing in Him who heals. This is faith, childlike faith, something i've gotta learn from her.

Today i went for cca to help out the juniors with their training. Towards the end, i asked coach about the Direct School Admission thingy. He coaches at JJC, hence more or less can help us get into the school through the selections. The graduating bunch of us sat down and discussed very seriously over this matter man.

The deal's like this. You apply for it, go for trials, and at the end of the day, if your L1R5 is below 20, then you automatically get into JJC. However, even if my L1R5 is around 10 or so, i can't choose to opt for other better JCs once i applied for the DSA at JJC. And the worst part is, we've gotta let him know our decision by today! So at the food court, we called up our parents, asked them of their opinions. It was quite positive from most of them, claiming that a secured place would be best.. I still think it's quite a hasty decision though.

People often asked me what JC i wanna get into. Usually, according to my grades, i would tell them schools like PJC, or JJC. And since now i'm offered this chance to get into one of the two choices im intending to, why not right? If my standard's there, i means i will be able to cope better in JJC, true?

Hmm, i really need God to speak to me on this man.

Second week of holidays already! Completed my geography assignments already. Guess I'm left with english, maths, and social studies! Not too bad. Anyway, quite a fair bit of my schoolmates are currently overseas! The best part is, no matter where they are, there always seem to be wifi! So if you happen to see this, buy a gift or two for me! Hahaha.

Thinking back, i was supposed to go Cambodia last year with the council to do some CIP stuff too! I think it involves building and painting a library. I even remember that we had already pay quite a fair bit of the price for the trip. Then oh came H1N1! Oh well..

Today i met Ezekiel and Eugene to do gym in the morning! Worked out quite alot. The best part was when we decided what to eat for lunch. We headed down to Woodlands for Seoul Garden. Surprisingly, being quite a glutton, it was my first time patronising Seoul Garden! I was thought it was some korean restaurant as what the name suggests.

Wah, it was so good lah. Firstly, student price! Next, eat all you want! There was such a variety! I ate almost every type of meat there is. Then the last round we went for brownies with ice cream on the top. Shiok. And although everything seems quite okay, the smell that sticks with you stinks! Hahaha. I think i should bring a new set of clothes when i eat there another time.

It was about two weeks ago that Ms Kom told us that she's gonna be leaving the school after the June Holidays due to some personal reasons. It was quite depressing at the start, knowing that she has always been such a bubbly, enthusiastic form teacher, someone who motivates you to excel. But then again, she has already finished what needs to be taught, the rest of the job is really up to us!

Chinese written papers are over! And thank God, i think the papers were quite straight forward, but you know what they always say, the easier it is, the harder it is to get a distinction. Hmmm, better not carry too high hopes, and hand it up to God for now! I plan to retake it as long as i don't get an A!

Kinda nervy at the start, it was really a very tense atmosphere. They managed to squeeze everybody into the hall. The funny thing was, when they turned on the two big fans, everybody's barcode sticker and IC started flying off their tables! Classic moment! Started with a word of prayer too, was so afraid that my mind went blank when i read the questions, but it turned out well, thank God!

I've got a testimony to share as well! When the chief invigilator said time was up, i put down my pen, and started looking around. (You can't help but to look around one..) Then i realised that the people sitting around filled in section one's answers with numbers and not the words! In my mind i thought, "good game..". I told the invigilator taking my row, and she said these words to me, "I don't think u can change it now, time is up already..". So being the usual me, i negotiated with her, and she ended up asking the chief invigilator. When i saw that guy nod his head, in my mind i knew it was Him! Thank God!

Quickly changed, and handed up my papers.. That was a close call..
Anyway, i think i can do better in the upcoming oral and listening compre. Hopefully God can do a miracle for me again! But until then, happy holidays! (:

First hurdle.

If O levels were to be a race, then tomorrow would be the first hurdle i've to overcome. I'm taking on both paper 1 and 2 on the same day, hopefully i won't feel weary or any sort! As mentioned in the previous post, have been drilling quite abit, and though the exams won't be testing on the same questions, doing these practices gives you more confidence.

Alot of people have mentioned that it's difficult to attain a distinction when u take your paper in May. Nevertheless, I know God doesn't want me to enter the examination hall half heartedly. Gonna give my best, even if the results weren't up to my expectations!

Alright, to everybody else taking the papers, all the best to you too! Don't stress, just relax.. Hahaha.

Back to update!
Have been drilling alot on mother tongue for the past few days. For that three days of MT hot-housing, i managed to focus and really make the best out of it. Thanks to the people around me, as well as all the potato chips, sweets they've brought along! Hahaha. It was like doing chinese and having picnic at the same time!

Okay, so the papers are like in 3 days time. I can't affirm myself that i'm prepared, i bet no one can! Still, i wanna thank God for His assurance in the word, as well as blessing me with a bonus, that is, Jingxuan's electronic dictionary! She's in HMT, so she lent me hers. Awwwwwwwwwwwww.

And lastly, i cannot be distracted, not today, not tomorrow, not even in the examinations hall. Anything after this hurdle first please.

I bet if you were to ask any of the graduated students about their preparations for Os, they would most probably mention to you about when their "wake up call" was. Some of their wake up call might have come really really early, others finally begin to wake up when they realised that Os are actually in a month's time.

My wake up call came yesterday. Form teacher came into our class, and started telling about this new policy our school has. For every subject we failed during exams, we have to retake the exact same paper. And the criteria is to get at least a 95%, if not the principal wants to meet your parents. When i heard about the news, it's super depressing. It really is.

I've three papers i needa retake right now. Both maths and SS. Though i passed my comb humans thanks to history, i gotta retake the SS paper! And you know what's the best part, i only failed by one mark. I kept blaming myself yesterday, how dumb, how stupid, just one more mark, and that would have saved you from retaking the papers. And I don't blame whoever who came out with this idea of retaking. I just gotta look at it in a more positive way, like as practice. Put the stress and everything aside.

I don't think my wake up call's too late, neither was it too early. 20 plus weeks to Os. I think it's still alright. I'm gonna step onto the gear. Nevertheless, I wanna thank God for helping me through the past weeks, for sustaining me. All the best Nick!

What a long day it has been! Thanks to those Unitians who've just finished their examinations, today was declared marking day for the whole school! Took this day to head out and chill abit. Hehehe.

Last night, the brilliant idea of crashing into Charmainebay's house just struck me! She just moved into her new place at Boonlay area. So why not invade her house for awhile, before heading for lunch together! And so we did! With a little help here and there, we managed to capture some elements of surprise on camera! Uploading the first part of it onto Facebook right now. It's so slowww.

Off to town for Swensens Buffet! Learnt not to be too greedy. And it wasn't much of a variety man. Not recommended. Thankfully we had the coupons, courtesy to Fazi and Rosh, so the price was still acceptable. Walked around Orchard Road, before coming to this place where BNK proposed to SWP. HAHA. Yooo. What a week it has been. Thanks to the makeshift Labour Day holiday on Monday, this week of school seems to be really really short. And I don't seem to recall on anything that has happened. Except for one incident..

On wednesday, i realised that my phone actually had the function of flipping photos! That means whatever on the right, could go to the left, and whatever on the left could go onto the right. I got super fascinated by that function, and so i told the people around me all about!

So during English period, my teacher was reading some article, and i thought she wouldn't pay attention to what the students were doing. And so i showed the photo flipper thing to my classmate behind. And boomz, she caught me red-handed. Initially, i thought it was okay, she would most probably return it to me after her lesson. After her class, she called me out, and was about to return to me.

AT THIS POINT OF TIME..

Mrs Chan walked by. She was about to go into my class for her Geog lesson. She happens to be the teacher who confiscated my phone the other time round. And the other time, was my first time! So don't be mistaken. So she went like "This is not the first time ahhhh.." Wow, at the point, i know good game already. And so I surrendered the phone over to her without making a fuss.

But it could be something positive in disguise! Without that phone of mine, i won't have easy access to the internet, etc. So i might be able to focus better on my revision and all. And who knows, i will get back my phone before you know it! Hahaha.

Okay, Happy Mums Day to all! I had my time well spent with my family today. The rest of the pictures are up on facebook already! As usual, let me share with you some good food. Muahaha. Off to rush my hmw, take care!

Ironman 2.

Caught Ironman 2 with the guys today. The show was okay only. I felt that watching Ipman would be more worth it. Ironman's beginning was a little too draggy, and the action only came towards the back. The villain got defeated too easily lah.. Hahaha.

Put that aside, let me share with you something really "interesting".
Today at 11 plus, Nic called me and told me that the queue for the movie was really long. As i was afraid that the tickets would get sold out, i went down to Batok 30 mins earlier to get the tickets. At that time, i only had $25 with me..

So i told Ben & Cw to come down from their homes to meet me at the cinema, so they could help me pay for everyone. End up, the queue wasn't as bad as i thought, and very soon, there were only 7 people infront of me..

So i gave Ben a call.
Me: "Eh, where are you ah?"
Ben: "Still on the bus, Keming Pri that side, might need another 5-7mins"

Okay, so i felt alittle more relief. However, when there were left with only 3 people infront of me, i gave Ben a call again..
Me: "Eh where are you now?"
Ben: "Still stuck at Keming Pri there!"
Me: "How come so slow?!?!"
Ben: "The traffic light damn long!"
Me: "Then how?"
Ben: "You ask the person whether can chop seats first or not"
Me: "Okay i try.."

And so i told the person that i didn't have enough money, and he told me to stand at one side until Ben came. So when Ben came, i was expecting him to take out like a $50 to save the day. HOWEVER.. He only brought out $15! So, $25 + $15 = $40..

We still went ahead to book the tickets, and end up, the total was $42! Arghhhhhhh.
Told the person AGAIN that we didn't have enough money. At the point of time it was super paiseh, then the person said he will keep the tickets for us till our next friend came, that being Chongwei. And whew, he arrived at the nick of time. With $2!!

What an embarrassing moment. Lesson learnt - Always bring sufficient cash out to avoid these type of situations!

Was supposed to do cafe duty today, but reached home late last night, and then got grounded. Imagine all the fun and fellowship i've missed out! And all the food.. The famous laksa. Hahaha. Perhaps in future again!

Yesterday we celebrated Sis Wanping's birthday! The leaders came up with the idea of everybody freezing the moment Sis Wanping reached the carpark. It was creative to the max lah. Happy XX Birthday SWP!

Tomorrow's a school holiday, woohoo. Might be catching Ironman with the rest of the guys. Oh, i forgotten to mention that i've caught IP Man on friday evening with my classmates. The storyline was kinda normal, like westerners discriminating the chinese blah, but i think the action of the movie won me over. Overall it was good..

The post exams enthusiasm lasted all the way till monday only. Got back alot of my results, and majority of them are very disappointing. It's also depressing seeing such results and knowing i'm gonna be taking my Os at the end of this year. Gotta buck up man.

Gotta work on weaker subjects, starting from mathematics first. Not forgetting that I'm taking my O lvls MT written paper by the end of next month. That's less than 4 weeks left! Better start beforehand, avoid last minute revision! You can do this Nick..

Anyway! If you've seen me around today, you would have known that i've got a new haircut! I'm 'Federico Macheda' inspired manz. Heheh. When it grows longer, it should look somewhat like this. Woohoo. Grow hair grow!

What a long weekend it has been! And i've been loving every single moment. On friday, Unity Sec Sch had our cross country and in my opinion, i think the council did a fantastic job in running the events all together. It was also the sec 4s last event. It's been 3 years!
I wanna thank each and everyone of the sec 4 councilors, for putting in their 100% in everything they do, i really feel that all of us have the potential to excel as leaders in the future! All the best everybody!

And anyway, 4/7 came in first for the x-country class competiton! Super proud of everybody. In case you didn't know, points are awarded from position #1 all the way to #30! So somehow someway everybody contributed! Good job guys!

Saturday was awesome. What i really like about Pastor Chris Long is that he's straight to the point, someone who doesn't beat about the bush to let you know what he really had in mind. Very practical.

And at night, i headed over to Ben's house to catch Manutd vs Tottenham! Have been watching soccer alone for some time, so yesterday's company with them was really awesome! Plus all the food and drink, best price! I can only hope that Chelsea's gonna lose!

School's gonna start tomorrow alr. Man, gonna get back results. So reluctant to go school. I already know that i screwed up both my maths. Cross fingers for the other subjects! Update soon then, take care!

Today was the bomb man. Right after MCQ papers, i went home to change and prepare to meet my mum at CitySquareMall. She brought me to this restaurant which she patronised before previously. The food's good man! Got the pictures below! If you're hungry, you might regret taking a look at those pictures. Heheh.

I didn't manage to meet up with the clique in the afternoon, so my mum suggested that we invited them over for dinner! All we really did. Was kinda impromptu, but my mum's the bomb. Hahaha. They came over at around 7pm, eat, slack and eat.

I know it's kinda random, but i feel like posting something which made me feel super blessed. Today for dinner, my maid whipped up a scrumptious home-made black pepper chicken steak. It was so good!

What a day it has been today. No matter what, i still wanna thank God for bringing me through today.

It was kind of a rough day for me. Those in my class would definitely know what had happened. During my emaths paper 1, i kept sneezing and sneezing non stop! I don't know what the heck got into me. Was abit blur, couldn't focus on the questions! End up, i just anyhow through the whole paper. It was very disappointing lah.

Later on, i wanted to head down to Kranji Pri to catch my sis's basketball match. Promised her that i would go! However, the moment i reached the security guard post, this guard told me that only parents allowed! Wah, feel like strangling him at that point. Must be the change of the new principal, anyone could go in back then, as long as you were there to catch a basketball match!

So walked home under the scorching sun. What a day.

Finally! It's friday! Hahaha. After a week of exams, i shall reward myself with some slack tonight. Revision can always start tomorrow right? Hehehe.

Anyway, I've got something really amazing to share. Today i went to collect my camera at Toh Guan Road area with Nic. I presented the recipt, checked the camera and then asked the person at the counter whether if that's all. What she said next made my jaws dropped.

"That would be $36, thankyou." Huh! I thought already paid? My mum initially paid $50 already, but ended up, that was only for the service charge and everything. $36 was for the new parts they had replaced with. And the worst thing is, in my wallet, i only brought like $10 out! I looked at Nic, stunned. Then there came this moment, when he asked, "Can pay by NETS?". Wow. Thank God man. Thanks Nic! :D

Okay ahhh, 4 days of exams left!

Chinese papers.

Let me share with you all what i did for my chinese paper 1 today. I'm not exactly weak in chinese, but sometimes i struggle to give an answer when you ask me something in mandarin. I can answer you with no hesitation when you ask me in english, that's the funny thing.

And so i translated my whole compo question into english, listed out my main points in english, and then translate everything back to chinese! It's easier to understand leh! For me at least..
Hahaha. 2 days down, 7 more to go!

And you gotta admit, the weather's so nice to get some sleep. Ahhhhhhh, wake up Nick!!

Exams!

Looking at the examinations schedule, I feel a little bit more relieved. I've two language papers on the first two days and given that I'm able to go straight home after taking the examinations, it ain't so bad! Still got the time to nap!

I've been revising bit by bit for the content subjects, i guess it's really time to do the hardcore type of studying. It's a bit last minute, i know, but hopefully I'm able to get something out of it. For the next two weeks, I just hope the momentum keeps going!

Anyway, church yesterday was awesome.
In the past, i used to be the youngest in the usher ministry. It wasn't too long ago, just last year! But since the age-specific ministry came about, i see more and more youths stepping up, and they're really passionate towards serving!

Yesterday, we had 13 new ushers joining us. And, if I'm not wrong, all of them are younger than me! Hahaha. As they step up, i think i too have to step up! Hahaha. They did very well for first timers! And i pray that this fire in them will not die off, but it will grow even stronger!

Okay, God has been so awesome, ain't it.

I thank God for this week. That no matter how tired i was, i managed to keep awake during lesson times, and paid attention to what the teachers were saying. Hahaha.

After lessons today, i rushed home to change and prepare to meet Serena and Muxin. What a day it has been! Lunch at Ikea, then shop at Queensway, then to Penisular. I managed to get what i want within my budget, so it was very fulfilling!

Halfway through the holidays already! On a more positive note, i've completed some work! Gotta finish up the rest soon. Still, it's a job well done. Hahaha.

Sunday, for me, is a day i dedicate to my family. No matter what, i will always make it for family dinner on Sunday night. Today, the few of us went down to Zhou's Kitchen @ Jurong Point. My mum introduced the buffet thing to us. Not too bad! Looks good right..

Also, my mum signed up for the Mio Tv plan! Which means, soccer on TV from August onwards! In case, you didn't know, for the past 3 years, I've been catching Manchester United online, oppps. Nevertheless, today I'm one happy kid..

Holiday starts tomorrow. However, the thing is I've got to attend school for 4 days. So homework would still be piling up, and teachers will still be drilling us. What to do! Hahaha.

I'm really beginning to cherish my Saturdays more and more. I love Saturdays! That is why I've been committing this day of the week to God, to church, because i know i can't find this joy anywhere else.

Let me see.. Had i not attended church. Saturdays would have been like this..

Stay up till super late on Friday nights, and wake up equally late on Saturdays!
More time to head out, have fun, catch a movie, go shopping!
Study more, more revision done.
And so much moreeeeeeeeeeeeee!

As satisfying as it seems, is it really worth it giving up Saturdays for those pointers up there? You might feel #2 is an exception, but the key to effective revision, in my opinion, is really time management!

Today, was the first service of the age-specific ministry. To be honest, when i knew i was gonna hang around with people mostly ageing around 10-14, i began to feel seriously sian. I always thought i disliked the company of the younger kids until today! While playing a simple game of captain's ball, i realised that i enjoyed the fellowship with these kids. I like the feeling of being their elder brother kind of thing. You might feel the same way if u had a sibling yourself too.

It was then i too realised why God wanted me to serve in this area. Given the passion i have for youth, i really think i can help to impact their lives. Awesome.

I think first of all, I wanna thank God, that i made the right decision of attending service, despite giving the second half of the EL workshop a miss. (I got excuse letter okay..) Hahaha.

Yesterday i recieved an awesome news from Mr Yew. The "Dejavu" video we filmed last year during the Nov/Dec holidays was sent for a National Video Competition. And among 200 plus entries, it emerged as 1st runners up!! Awesome! Praise the Lord! :D

Today my family opened the house for visitation! It was the very first time i invited my friends over to my house to celebrate Chinese New Year. Thankyou guys for coming over! Okay, so today marks the end of the West Zone Competition, and Unity Secondary School achieved 4th place! No hard feelings even though we didn't get into top 3. We knew we gave our best at it, and we're proud of where we are! Good job paddlers!

After the prize presentation, Mr Tan treated the whole team to KFC! Thanks again Mr Tan! We took a few more photos, and then i rushed over to meet my secondary two classmates.

It was kinda of a short gathering.. Should plan for a whole class gathering kinda thing before O lvls really start to come!! Hahaha. Anyway, we caught the movie "Percy Jackson & The Lightning Theif"! It's nice! All the actions and everything. Thumbs up!

Hello everybody, I'm back!
I'm dead beat right now. Today the guys beat Hillgrove and got into the Zonal's top 4! It feels really good to be up there with schools like Hwa Chong, Nan Hua and River Valley. A really good job everybody!

Which brings back to my point, dead beat! I reached home at 12midnight last night! We only left Malaysia at about 9.30pm because my father didn't wanna get caught in the traffic jam. Hahaha. Then earlier today I had PE! Not the usual free games anymore, but training for NAPFA test..

But still, this year's CNY was really enjoyable, and i felt that the time i had with my family was really well spent. I'll let the pictures do the talking. The rest are on facebook!

I really enjoyed everybody's company yesterday. After all the matches and trainings this week, last night was really the best. Best to relax and chill out for a short while. This year, I'm spending the whole of the CNY holiday in Malaysia. First in Genting, then back to Johor. Time to spend some quality time with my family!

I'm feeling good today! Firstly, the Unity Paddlers have made it to West Zone top 6! If we win any one of the upcoming two matches, we're in the zonal top 4 alr! What a good match it has been today! Good job guys!

Yesterday was my class's CIP too. It was really fun, and a really different experience to be able tommingle around with the people there at MINDS. They do understand what we talk about, and though they look much older, their mindset's as innocent as a toddler. Seriously!

Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are both coming already! Exciting!

Attended "Rinascimento" last night. It was our very own school band's concert, and so it was quite an awesome feeling to be able to go down and support. Everything went really well except for the irritating sec 1s. No respect for their seniors, disgrace to themselves. Ok, relax..

My camera really went all out, and whew, it died the moment everybody stopped the "eh Nick, help me take photo!" thingy. By the way! I uploaded EVERYTHING on facebook already, as i promised everybody! I'm showcasing the nicer ones here on my blog!

Okay, sidetrack abit. I just got home from training in fact, and later on, still got another session at 5.30pm. Abit exhausted already.
Plus tomorrow's competition alr, makes everything more stressful. Must put up a good fight still!

I've just ended my 3 days motivational workshop. And yes, alot of the seniors say after 5 days you will surely get turned off, and so i entered this workshop, telling myself that it was yet again that "type" of workshop. However, the workshop did spoke to me on alot of useful study tips, and the most important part being my family.

I'm glad my mum made an effort to come, and I'm glad i managed to tell her my heart-felt words. I felt really good after telling her so much things i have kept from her for the past few months. Thank God for family, i love each and everyone of you, i mean it.

Anyway! That's Chongling! She's leaving Singapore for Perth this coming Monday. Hahaha, if you ever get to see this, take care over in Perth, and strive to glorify God in whatever you do! See you very soon 7! :D

This week was really no fun. Back to the books, tests here and there. The moment the bell rang on Friday afternoon, there was this sense of relief, finally a week has passed. Hahaha.
In the upcoming week, there's gonna be this Motivational Workshop from Weds - Fri, not too bad, at least you don't need to chiong the entire week! Looking forward!

Oh guys! Have you heard? They're gonna change tuesday 8.40 reporting time, to the normal 7.25! I've been sleeping so soundly on tuesdays for the past 3/4 years leh! Man.
